If you have kids like mine they start planning their next birthday after everyone has left from this one. Coming up with great idea after idea year after year can be a hard thing to deal with. The Amazing Race theme is a great idea and with fun activities that older children and adults can both enjoy. This would be perfect for a teenager party since you could have them driving all over town for the clues!

If you want to have fun at your next party then Party Games Plus is the place to start!! They have Amazing Race party ideas that you can check out. I was sent the set of printables and I was so impressed ~ they even included water bottle labels! How fun. They have high quality imagining and you could even print some of them on sticker paper or better yet laminate them and have several times the fun!

We will be using these again for my daughter’s 15^th birthday in November. We will be hiding clues around the neighborhood for the kids to find!

Farmer’s Market & Herb Garden

Had a lot of fun at the Farmer’s Market in Suwanee. Picked up some honey and some blackberries~~Made some yummy jam and some left over to freeze!

And then it was off to home depot to get the things to make my herb garden…cause all dishes taste better with fresh herbs…..I have cilantro, flat leaf parsley, basil, dill, rosemary and then mint by itself because it has a tendency to spread!

 

Another House Party

If you have not signed up on house party you do not now what you are missing. I was chosen a few months ago to have a Capri sun party and the kids has a blast. This time I was picked to have a Philly Cooking Creme party! It is a party in a box, recipes, goody bags, coupons and a brand new 10″ green pan skillet! I was trying to think about a Giveaway I could have…. Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. To me it really kicks off the Holiday Season. October 1st – January 3rd is my FAVORITE time! The weather is cooler the leaves make that really neat rustling sound. Once again can  say I LOVE IT. OK back to Halloween, I enjoy decorating and dressing up with my kids. We make “spooky” recipes and crazy costumes. We have a mini party every year. We buy decorations at the dollar store and even pick up some dry ice at the grocery store for a neat effect. Many memories have been built at Halloween I wouldn’t change anything.

After reading one of my new favorite blogs Simply Stacie I came across her post for a Secret Santa gift exchange!! I thought what fun! I love giving secret gifts but really don’t have the opportunity to socialize a lot so what a perfect way for me to give someone a gift without the dressing up and paying fo a dinner out!! 🙂

Product Trial

I have to say one of the greatest things I have learned from couponing is about online survey companies. I have made around $50 (for doing nothing but giving my opinion) plus I get to try out test products every once in a while. I have done several in the last couple of months and just got another one today!! I can’t tell you what it is but I can tell you it is something we use and something I will not have to buy now because I got one FREE. I was paid $3 for the survey given FREE full size product and will be paid another $3 at the end of the trial. How great is that??

Welcome GCSNA Budgeting Meeting Folks!!

 

So if you are joining me because of the GCSNA meeting today….WELCOME!!  I hope that you were able to find some of my information helpful. I could talk for hours about saving with coupons, the didn’t give me nowhere near enough time 🙂

It is a lot of information to take in and I found it best to start small. Don’t think you are going to go in the first day and save 80-90%. Coupons are things that you have to save for just the right moment, just the right sale! The Capri Sun House Party was GREAT!!

We had such a great time at our little party today!! Capri Sun, cupcakes, goodie bags, prizes and activities!! Spent $15 on prizes for the goodie bags, $10.99 on cupcakes and ice cream, $6 on activites so for right at $32 we had a great party and lots of fun!! Can’t wait to host another one.
